  My Wife had a statefarm policy for life insurance. Once we became common-law and later engaged to be married, it was in our best interest to look at our insurance and health benefits. My employer provides a fantastic family life insurance and health plan that covered more than her policy at Statefarm could offer. After contacting her agent at statefarm to discuss the policy, we were told we had to come in during business hours. A time of which both of us were working over 60 hours /week. I asked to take over the payments of her policy until we decided what we wanted to do with it. Which was initially refused. We were told if we wanted to pay the premiums we had to come in during business hours. I asked for a copy of the policy. The response given was that we should already have a copy and was made to feel stupid for asking for it. Then out of frustration I asked to cancel the policy. Offered a written letter, registered mail etc. This was refused and we were told we had to come in to the office. Finally I wrote an email in frustration to the agency to explain that they were being un-accomodating to me. I also explained that we would be in the market for home insurance and consolidating our auto insurance in the near term. Of which we wouldn't be considering them due to the customer experience we were currently recieving on this old life insurance policy. It seems that they were too infatuated with the $15.00/month premium for the life insurance that they failed to see the bigger picture. I received a rude and threatening email from them suggesting that I was out of line and that if I expressed my experience to anyone they would sue me for "Slander". Well, I am practicing my legal right to freedom of speech and opinion. Nothing in this review is False and this did Happen. I do not recommend this agency to anyone unless you wish to be treated in the same manner
